Midnight City - The Knocks (featuring Mandy Lee)
The music trembling the floors. The smoke consuming the hallways. The scent of liquor and beer swimming in the air. People mingling, making out, and drinking senselessly in every inch of this inconspicuous Brooklyn apartment. This was the life. The height of indulgence in the midnight hour. And I was going to indulge in everything I could ever indulge in this very night. It wasn’t any special night, it wasn’t even the weekend yet, but I realized that nights don’t need to be special in order to just live in the moment.
"The city is my church. It wraps me in its blinding twilight."
